Childhood experiences are beautiful memories that reminds us of the good old days, I remember so well, when I was a child, we used to play this hide and seek game, we do run as fast as our little legs could carry us, searching for the perfect hiding spot, behind the mango trees, inside the bush, or beneath the bed, every spot was a potential hiding spot for us, as far as we won't be cut, we would count 1 - 10 and then search would begin, we would hold our breathe, hoping not to be found,
We could do anything possible to be safe inorder not to be cut and be the loser,
Another favorite play I found myself do those days was using my legs and sands to build houses, I would make beautiful houses with the sands, and my imagination would run wild as I see my future life in those sandy houses, how beautiful my home was going to be, I would dream of being brave, successful business person or a happy family living in my own sandy Mansion
Nothing is sweater than those experiences
(Looks like this but not really this, it's not raining season, so the houses won't be as we used to)
Fun didn't stop there, I remember going to my mother's store to get one or two food ingredients, only to go and prepare food with an old milk container as our pot, we would put tiny fire woods and make a very suitable place for us to cook our delicious, buh if eventually we get cut, sorry for us that day, the aroma imaginary dishes would fill the air and we would proudly serve ourselves and eat our food with so much pride and Joy
Childhood was really fun, those carefree days were filled with laughter and friendship, we didn't worry about our social life, status, background or challenges. Everyone was equal and everyone was welcome
Those memories reminds me of the simplicity and good old days we spent
Looking at the way life is going, I'm beginning to miss the good all days were everything seemed so simple and affordable. One could buy something valuable with as low as 50 naira, and enjoy everything with no too much expenses
But times had changed, the economy had shifted and the cost of living had increased
What was once affordable was now a luxury.
We find ourselves longing for the simplicity of childhood, when money wasn't a constant worry.
It's Asif the world had turned upside down
The things that brought us joy as children were now out of reach.
Funny part of it is that is not just the prices if stuffs that has changed, it's the values, the priorities and the way people lived their lives. The world had become faster, more competitive and more expensive
The good old days might be gone but the memories remained, the laughter, the simple way of childhood and many more
Though times has changed, and it not something we could turn back the clock, cause I know if were given that opportunity, the world wouldn't be the way it is again,
All we could do now is to cherish the memories, learn from the past and find ways to navigate the challenges of the present cause we cannot continue living in pain and crying everyday as things changes.
