Hello to all my readers! Today we begin our journey through the park of the Great Gatchina Palace. It's like this place was specially created for artists, so it's doubly pleasant for me to talk about it.
ONLINE REFERENCE: The Palace Park in Gatchina has an area of 143 hectares. This is the oldest park in the Gatchina landscape park complex. It was broken up under Count G. G. Orlov at the end of the XVIII century. The park area borders the Menagerie, the Forest Priory Park and Sylvia, which are also part of the complex of historical Gatchina parks.
The location of the park is quite unusual. If the palace itself has a strict geometric shape in terms of plan, then the outlines of the park are quite difficult to fit into an orderly scheme.
It's all about the lakes located in the park. One of them is called White, the other is Silver. There are also many ponds and canals connected to each other. All reservoirs have a complex sinuous shape and occupy almost a quarter of the entire territory of the Gatchina Park.
My daughter and I started our journey through the park with a curiosity. We found a lot of birds, including waterfowl. My daughter couldn't leave them for a long time to continue our walk. But as soon as we came to the shore of the first pond, it turned out that there were a lot of huge carp that almost jumped out of the water to look at passing tourists.
Even from afar, I noticed several large and small structures, including bridges. The bridges here are very beautiful, built in the old days and there are quite a lot of them in the park.
If you may have noticed, there are remnants of wooden piles along the edges of some reservoirs, which still stick out in different directions. The fact is that even under Paul I, the reservoirs were much more equipped. Here the young impreator conducted game naval battles on boats, training his skills for the upcoming naval battles.
Today, only small piers and the remains of those grandiose structures along the edges of canals and ponds remain. There are also small houses here and there on the shores, where aquatic birds live.
Tomorrow we will walk along the paths of the park and look at some beautiful bridges in the vicinity. Our path will be in the direction of the distant pavilions of the park, but we will talk about them a little later. And that's it for today!
Привет всем моим читателям! Сегодня мы начинаем наше путешествие по парку Большого Гатчинского дворца. Это место будто специально создано для художников, поэтому мне вдвойне приятней рассказывать о нём.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Дворцовый парк в Гатчине имеет площадь 143 гектара. Это старейший парк в комплексе гатчинских пейзажных парков. Он разбит при графе Г. Г. Орлове в конце XVIII века. Парковая территория граничит со Зверинцем, лесным Приоратским парком и Сильвией, которые тоже входят в комплекс исторических Гатчинских парков.
Расположение парка довольно необычно. Если сам дворец имеет в плане строгую геометрическую форму, то очертания парка довольно сложно укладываются в упорядоченную схему.
Всё дело в озёрах, расположенных на территории парка. Одно из них носит название Белое, другое Серебряное. Также здесь имеется множество связанных друг с другом прудов и каналов. Все водоёмы имеют сложную извилистую форму и занимают по площади почти четверть всей территории Гатчинского парка.
Наше с дочкой путешествие по парку началось с курьёза. Мы обнаружили множество птиц, в том числе и водоплавающих. Дочь долго не могла отойти от них, чтобы продолжать нашу прогулку. Но как только мы вышли на берег первого же пруда, оказалось, что там полно огромных карпов, которые чуть ли не выпрыгивали из воды, чтобы посмотреть на прохожих туристов.
Ещё издалека я заприметил несколько больших и маленьких сооружений, в том числе и мостов. Мосты здесь очень красивые, выстроенные ещё в прежние времена и их достаточно много в парке.
Если вы могли заметить, по краям некоторых водоёмов сохранились остаткий деревянный свай, которые до сих пор торчат в разные стороны. Дело в том, что ещё при Павле I водоёмы были гораздо более обустроены. Здесь молодой импреатор проводил игровые морские баталии на лодках, тренируя свои навыки для грядущих морских сражений.
Сегодня остались лишь небольшие пристани и остатки тех грандиозных сооружений по краям каналов и прудов. Также тут и там есть небольшие домики на берегах, где обитают водные птицы.
Завтра мы пройдёмся по дорожкам парка и рассмотрим несколько красивых мостов вбизи. Наш путь будет в направлении дальних павильонов парка, но о них будет рассказ чуть позже. А на сегодня у меня всё!
