Hello friends of the Wednesday Walk community. Today I took a little longer to make my post because I was waiting to finish the visit to an iconic place in Santiago de Cuba. The house of Diego Velázquez, colonial governor of the city, is a historical and architectural attraction par excellence.

It is a relic that is part of the Santiaguero heritage, since it dates back to the sixteenth century, and although it has received several repairs it still keeps objects that belonged to this historical figure.

I did not come here precisely because of my own decision, but because of work issues. To maintain the attraction of people to the house-museum, and the general life inside the center, the Orfeón Santiago choir was invited to sing here.

We arrived early so I took the opportunity to take several photos. Unfortunately I could not tour the whole place, because there are areas that are under repair. It is definitely a beautiful place full of history, which we should all visit at least once in a lifetime.
