So, today, while going about my business, I was strolling along the side of the road when an empty sachet of water landed right in front of me. Apparently, a woman in her shop had just finished drinking it and had to dump it out onto the road, which happened to be at the same time I was passing. She did apologise, but that just goes to show how deeply the habit of trash has into many individuals.
When I looked at the gutters on the streets, however, I found that many of them were actually packed with trash. People conveniently dispose of these garbage in the gutters, and when it rains, the water cannot flow out. This is a really harmful habit; taking care of the environment requires us to be extremely mindful of how we intend to dispose of our trash, as they have a lot of negative consequences on the ecosystem.
Instead of dumping waste into the environment, it can be appropriately stored in a waste bin.Even if there are no waste containers nearby, it should not be an excuse to pollute the environment. I believe that with deliberate efforts from individuals, we can reclaim our green Earth.
