How are you all ? Hope you all are well Alhamdulillah I am fine too. I am here again with a new travel post. Today I will share with you travel story to the famous Teesta Barrage in Nilphamari district. Let's start-

Teesta Barrage is the largest irrigation project. It is located on the border of Lalmonirhat district and Nilphamari district. It was auspiciously inaugurated in 1990 by Hossain Muhammad Ershad to the state of Bangladesh. Since then it has been used as an irrigation scheme. It is situated on the river Teesta. From here, land is cultivated by making big canals in the entire Nilphamari district.

Last month I went to my friend Shariful's house for a trip. Their house is in Syedpur upazila of Nilphamari district. I went for a walk alone. I have never been to Saidpur or Nilphamari district before. On the day I reached there, there was no sightseeing. I was tired from traveling by train all night so I fell asleep. Then in the afternoon I went around with my friend's bike for quite some time. Next day plan to visit Teesta Barrage. I am my friend and he has another friend. Three people in total. I finished my breakfast and got ready. After 11 o'clock three of us left for Teesta barrage trip on motorbike. I was very curious as I was going to see a new place. Friends have been several times before.

First I checked how many kilometers from google map. The distance from our place of departure is more than 50 km A long way to travel. The three of us went out with the name of the Lord. We started our journey along the road that exits the canal from Teesta barrage. We stopped at a place and offered Zohr prayer in the mosque. Then we started our journey again. After traveling to Metamuti for about 1 hour 40 minutes we reached our desired destination Teesta Barrage. Going there, we left the motorcycle at one place and started exploring all the places.

There are some old banyan trees along the river. Many people like us came to visit there. Since we went a little after noon, it was quite sunny, so we didn't see many people. If we had gone in the afternoon, we would have seen more people. We visited there and took many pictures. After spending some time there we again started our journey towards home. Since it was far, I did not stay there long, otherwise it would have taken evening to come home. I enjoyed traveling to new places. It was my first time to see such a big barrier built on the river.

We were heading home before evening. Hope you all like my travel post today. Everyone will be fine and healthy. See you again with my new post.

Thank you everyone for visiting my travelling post.
