Hello Everyone,
Just like the every other week, here I am, to participate in this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!
This week, I got not the winning moments, but also the losing one as well. Not the winning battles carry lessons only, even the battles we lose has stories to tell, lessons to learn. So, here we go, lets move ahead with the battles I got this week....
Battle - 1: Healer vs Flying
Ruleset: Armored Up
- All units gain +2 armor.
- Use Void Armor to ensure that magic attacks strike armor first.
- Use Shatter or Piercing to destroy your opponent's armor more effectively.
I lost this match!! Hell yeah, this one is about how I lost a match, what I thought and that didn't work out.
As per the ruleset, there are +2 armors to all the monsters. So I thought of going with the magic attacks. Here comes the point of planning. Both of us went with Mycelic Slipspawn. The deal breaker was about taking a monster with Tank Heal ability or the Flying ability. i was about to go with the same heal monster, yet I took another thought and went with the flying monster as its has chance to evade attacks which helped me in the past matches massively. And with the remaining one mana i did placed another monster and dragged that in the front to save one or two attacks.
Being a low mana battle, health and attack number is crucial. Here, the health won in my opponents benefit, each round it kept healing the health and I lost the deal as my flying didnt perform like that, didnt evade any attack, and I lost the battle.
Battle - 2: Saved by an Inch
Ruleset: Broken Arrows
- You cannot summon units with ranged attacks.
- Units with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used.
- Consider utilizing units with Thorns or Magic Reflect, as your opponent will have to use either melee or magic units.
Here in this battle, the healer and flying did their job as expected. Flying did evade attacks and healer did heal the tank as well to make an impact. Here it was a full on magic saga, both of us did try our best to tackle and I got saved by an inch.
Within the limit, we both set our lineup as we could, and mine did performed as expected to secure the victory.
Battle - 3: Melee Counters
Ruleset: Tis But Scratches
- All units have Cripple (-1 to target's max health after each successful attack; does not affect units with Immunity).
- Consider including units with the Immunity ability in your lineup.
Here you go, a high mana battle, with cripple ruleset. This one was an easy one from my side. But guess what, the cripple ruleset itself is a good one, every successful attack results in -1 to target's max health.
My opponent's lineup had demoralize ability and throns. Both of them was heartbreaking to see my melee monsters losing 1 melee attack. Also, thorns, dealing 2 damage to my melee monsters each time i am attacking. As per my summoner I had to go with the melee lineup for the trample ability, it worked our flawlessly, yet my opponent had went with some amazing strategy that worked well too.
In the end, it was my victory due to some of the good cards perhaps.
