Today I had rice with eggs, yucca and lentils for lunch, but not just any lentils, not the ones they give us in the clap box from time to time. My mom's friend gave her a 1kg bag of lentils from the United Nations World Food Program, the harvest year was 2023, provided by the Mexican rice producer SAPI DE CV. Its lot printed on the packaging, the country of origin: Mexico. It can be consumed preferably before: printed on the packaging and obviously it is forbidden to sell it.
The lentils were delicious, especially because I really like grains, I think it is quite healthy and has enough protein. Food is very important and even more so in Venezuela, which is going through a complex humanitarian crisis. It is something that I would like many people to have in their Venezuelan homes but this time it was my turn so I share it with you here.
We are still experiencing a food crisis in Venezuela but I hope it will soon end so that we can finally eat well and healthy. That children do not come with low height and underweight, that they do not become malnourished or have strokes because of the worries and stress of knowing what they will eat tomorrow.
Food catharsis? Gotcha.
