🍜 Diario Foodie #3, Parte 1: Ramen Instantáneo Aprobado

DIARIO FOODIE #3, PARTE 1: Ramen Instantáneo en Asia Gourmet Market.

La última vez que compré un ramen instantáneo para probar digamos que no resultó ser una de las mejores Experiencias Foodie que he tenido. Gracias a un fallo de la traducción terminamos comprando un ramen excesivamente picante y con un sabor no muy agradable que simplemente no pudimos terminar de comer, pues el picor era tal que nos hizo sacar lágrimas. Hace unas cuantas semanas atrás regresé al mercadito asiático dispuesta a encontrar un ramen instantáneo que si me agradara y esta vez sí logré mi objetivo.

En esta oportunidad probé un ramen instantáneo "sabor a Kimchi". Para ponerlos en contexto: el Kimchi es un platillo coreano cuya preparación es fermentada y su ingrediente principal es la col asiática. No estoy muy segura de que el sabor de este ramen instantáneo se acercara al del Kimchi pues realmente no tengo un punto de comparación porque nunca he probado este platillo 😂 pero lo que sí es cierto es que el ramen que escogí en esta oportunidad tenía un toque picante bastante tolerable, nada mal, en realidad. No sé describir muy bien el resto de sabores que percibí, pero lo que sí puedo asegurar es que estaba bueno, incluso me atrevería a comprarlo de nuevo. Por otra parte, Made en esta oportunidad compró un ramen instantáneo con sabor a "pasta a la carbonara" (según recuerdo). La mezcla entre lo picante con el sabor de lácteo era extraña, pero increíblemente no estaba del todo mal este ramen.

Compré nuevamente un paquete de caramelos surtidos de la fortuna, aunque en esta ocasión me decepcionó un poco porque realmente no fue tan surtido como la primera vez que lo compré y a pesar de que revisé casi todos los paquetes que habían disponibles, no pude encontrar uno con mis caramelos favoritos o que al menos estuviese un poco más variado en cuanto a sabores. La segunda decepción fue que ¡no habían galletas de la fortuna! ¿pueden creerlo?😭 Eso sí es algo imperdonable, pero al menos me fui del lugar con la satisfacción de que probé un ramen instantáneo decente.

FOODIE DIARY #3, PART 1: Instant Ramen at Asia Gourmet Market.

The last time I bought an instant ramen to try let's just say it didn't turn out to be one of the best Foodie Experiences I've ever had. Thanks to a translation glitch we ended up buying an excessively spicy and not very pleasant tasting ramen that we simply couldn't finish eating, as the spiciness was such that it brought tears to our eyes. A few weeks ago I went back to the Asian market willing to find an instant ramen that I really liked and this time I achieved my goal.

This time I tried an instant ramen "Kimchi flavor ". To put it in context: Kimchi is a Korean dish whose preparation is fermented and its main ingredient is Asian cabbage. I'm not really sure if the taste of this instant ramen was close to Kimchi as I really don't have a point of comparison because I've never tasted this dish 😂 but what is certain is that the ramen I chose this time had a fairly tolerable spicy touch, not bad, actually. I don't know how to describe very well the rest of the flavors I perceived, but what I can assure you is that it was good, I would even dare to buy it again. On the other hand, Made this time bought an instant ramen flavored like "pasta carbonara" (as I recall). The mix between the spicy and dairy flavor was strange, but amazingly it wasn't bad at all.

I bought again a pack of assorted fortune candies, although this time I was a little disappointed because it was not really as assorted as the first time I bought it and even though I checked almost all the packs that were available, I could not find one with my favorite candies or that at least was a little more varied in terms of flavors. The second disappointment was that there were no fortune cookies! Can you believe it?😭 That's something unforgivable, but at least I left the place with the satisfaction that I tasted a decent instant ramen.
