Today I will continue showing you the internal area of the Cathedral of Cabimas, in case you didn't see it I already shared the first part here: Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Rosario this religious temple is majestic that leaves anyone open-mouthed with so many architectural details both outside and inside.
Upon entering the doors are made of wood, the first figure that we find is St. Michael the Archangel who is always placed inside but facing the street of the houses or churches, in the first niche of the church are several Saints and a virgin, which highlights Jesus of Nazareth.
Then we have a great view of the whole interior of the enclosure with the aisle in the middle and the wooden benches next to it, part of its illuminated ceiling and in the background two huge curtains with Jesus on the cross.
As he walked he observed each of the niches and each figure that accompanied them inside, among them were the Mystical Rose, Virgin of Guadalupe, Divine Child and the Virgin of Coromoto, in a box was also another figure of the Divine Child with objects to represent the fulfilled promises of his devotees.
Before arriving at the altar there are four enormous columns that divide it from two larger niches and in one of the columns is its Patron Saint Benedict of Palermo, in one of these rest the bodies of his priests and on the other side a beautiful tabernacle with golden details full of angels.
Once inside the altar I could observe carefully each of its details full of religious objects, on its walls paintings with the coats of arms of each priest who has had the cathedral and between each one windows with stained glass but the ones that caught my attention were the ones in the background with St. Benedict and the Virgin of the Rosary on cherubs.
The most imposing is the image of the Virgin of the Rosary, with its large mantle that is composed of gold threads, it was transferred to a white cloth since the previous one was deteriorated and its process took approximately 3 years.
I was also able to visit the sacristy which is the place where the priests put on the cassock, in this area was in San Benito pilgrim.
To finish the tour between each niche and the columns that give support to the church, each station of the Via Crucis is reflected in some windows and images of some important religious moments.
It was a great tour inside this temple, it is the second time that I can see the details of a church of great relevance because they are almost always closed to the public and have specific schedules for your visit, I hope you enjoy it.

¡Hola amigos viajeros del mundo entero!
Hoy continuaré mostrándoles el área interna de la Catedral de Cabimas, por sí no lo vieron ya les compartí por acá la primera parte: Catedral de Nuestra Señora del Rosario este templo religioso es majestuoso que a cualquiera deja con la boca abierta con tantos detalles arquitectónicos tanto por fuera como por dentro.
Al entrar las puertas son de madera, la primera figura que nos encontramos es San Miguel Arcángel que siempre es colocado dentro pero mirando hacia la calle de las casas o iglesias, en el primer nicho de la iglesia se encuentran diversos Santos y una virgen, en la cuál destaca Jesús de Nazareno.
Luego tenemos un gran vista de todo el interior del recinto con el pasillo en medio y las bancas de madera al lado, parte de su techo iluminado y en el fondo dos enormes cortinas con Jesús en la cruz.
Mientras caminaba observaba cada uno de los nichos y a cada figura que les acompañaba en su interior, entre ellos estaban la Rosa Mística, Virgen de Guadalupe, Divino Niño y la Virgen de Coromoto, en una caja también se encontraba otra figura del Divino Niño con objetos para representar las promesas cumplidas de sus devotos.
Antes de llegar al altar se encuentran cuatro enormes columnas que le dividen de dos nichos más grandes y en una de las columnas se encuentra su Patrono San Benito de Palermo, en uno de estos reposan los cuerpos de sus sacerdotes y en el del otro lado un hermoso sagrario con detalles dorados llenos de ángeles.
Una vez dentro de altar pude observar con detenimiento cada una de sus detalles llenos de objetos religiosos, en sus paredes cuadros con los escudos de cada sacerdote que ha tenido la catedral y entre cada uno ventanales con vidrios de colores pero los que más me llamaron la atención fueron los que están en el fondo con San Benito y la Virgen del Rosario sobre querubines.
Lo más imponente es la imagen de la Virgen del Rosario, con su gran manto que está compuesto por hilos de oro, fue trasladado a una tela blanca ya que la anterior estaba deteriorada y su proceso llevó aproximadamente 3 años.
También pude recorrer la sacristía que es el sitio donde los sacerdotes se colocan la sotana, en ésta área se encontraba en San Benito peregrino.
Para dar por finalizado el recorrido entre cada nicho y las columnas que le aportan soporte a la iglesia se encuentran reflejado cada estación del Vía Crucis y en algunos ventanales imágenes de algunos momentos religiosos importantes.
Fue un grandioso recorrido por el interior de este templo, es la segunda vez que puedo ver los detalles de una iglesia de gran relevancia porque casi siempre están cerradas al público y tienen horarios en específicos para su visita, espero lo disfruten.
