On September 17, 2024, Donald Trump came live on X, which was supposedly going to be an informal launch of World Liberty Financial. He didn’t share any information about their new crypto platform, World Liberty Financial, during his talk on X.
It was a 45-minute talk, and the livestream was to discuss about crypto and the new crypto platform, but it took him whole 16 minutes to mention the word crypto.
During the whole 45 minutes, he didn’t share any information about the World Liberty Financial. 2 hours into the livestream, Zak Folkman, one of the project leaders, shared that there will be a token named WLFI.
The Fed primarily looks at two things when considering the interest rate: inflation and the labour markets. Balancing price increases with unemployment is what the Fed refers to as its “dual mandate"- ensuring that inflation doesn’t get too high and that unemployment stays at a low level.
The effect of the fall in the fed rate will be the same on the crypto investors as on the retail stock investors. In general, high interest rates scare investors away from riskier investments like crypto, and a lowering of rates will be seen as a positive by the crypto investors.
