    Our health is one of the greatest assets we have on earth, if we don't pay attention to it, even if we amass every mundane thing, we may probably use it to get our health back subsequently.



    It's so bad how the times we find ourselves are sore, if you don't work hard you may not be able to cope in this generation. Things are hard, there are only a few opportunities with so many people trying to grasp them.

    This is why people beat themselves hard, doing things that on a normal day they would never do, if not for the conditions they find themselves in.



    I remember a time, when my friend was telling me he spent 12 hours each day, for three conservative days without food inside his room working online, not that he didn't want to eat but he became so overwhelmed with work that he forgot to eat.

    I can relate to that, it happened to me several times too. Man just wants to survive but that's a very bad habit. How many minutes will it take you to cook or buy food, if you don't have the time to cook?



    Inasmuch as we need to make money, we don't have to trade our health for it. Come to think of it, if we fall sick or God forbid die, is it our corpse that will enjoy what we accumulate?

    Our bodies are very delicate, so forget that you don't fall sick easily, don't use that as a yardstick to maltreat your body, the day it is required, it might not be funny.



    Your health is also part of your assets, it's like that money you saved in your bank account or wallet, treat it with the utmost care, or else, you might lose it.


    The Tip

    Most of us don't pay attention to the kind of things we eat. In Nigeria, the majority of the food we consume is carbohydrates. It's not our fault I know, it's what is available and for some, it's what they can afford but have you ever thought how cheap vegetables and fruits are?

    These things are very nutritious and very affordable but a lot of us don't pay attention to them. We consume so much junk and artificial foods leaving natural vegetables that have little to zero side effects on us.



    Most of those processed foods are also carbohydrates, containing a lot of sugar which is not good for our health.

    Things are difficult now I know, some people can't afford a balanced diet but I bring you good news, consuming vegetables and fruits can go a long way in ensuring we have good health. Some of these natural foods have chemicals that can heal us of some diseases and sometimes create immunity against such in us



    I spent the last two weeks researching vegetables and fruits and I was amazed at the benefits they offer to our bodies, sadly, many of us don't know.

    Do you know that regular consumption of fruits and vegetables can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease, prevent some types of cancer, lower the risk of eye and digestive problems, and also reduce blood sugar? If you do, that's beautiful, and if you don't, thank me later, LOL.



    Most of us neglect these things and spend our money purchasing expensive beverages and drinks that have chemicals that could damage our bodies.

    A day before yesterday, I was craving for Coca-Cola. When I went to the shop to get it, I saw a guy selling watermelon, instantly, I gave up on Coca-Cola and went for watermelon. I know how refreshed my system gets whenever I take fruits.



    I challenge you today to start taking seriously the intake of fruits and vegetables, our bodies need more of them. If you don't believe me, take the next month and Concentrate on fruits and vegetables then give me feedback. You will be amazed at how your health will improve drastically.


    Effects Of Not Consuming Vegetables And Fruits

    I have mentioned a few advantages of the regular consumption of fruits and vegetables above. I wish what I am going to say is not true but if you neglect fruits and vegetables in your diet, you would be in danger of experiencing the direct opposite of the benefits I mentioned above. Which includes; having blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, blood sugar, and so on. You can take your time and go on a research and you would see more for yourself.

    Fruits and vegetables are cheap in the market, for as low as 200 Naira you can get your watermelon, pineapple, coconut, cashew, mango, Orange, carrots, water leaf, fluted pumpkin leaves, spinach, and so on. When was the last time you did vegetable stew in your home?



    You prefer taking, processed foods, ice cream, expensive wine, iced chicken, canned fish, and so on, why won't your health deteriorate?

    We leave the foods that should build our bodies and we concentrate on the ones that have the ability to demand them. Almost every food we cook in our homes today has preservatives, and we use chemicals like Maggi, salt, tin tomato, and other spices that were processed. Can you see now that our only remedy is fruit and vegetables? Think about it.
