A Motivated Conversation With a Woman Who Sell Snacks

Those skills we ignore can make us millionaires.

I’m a bit nostalgic because my young sister went back to school today.

But after crying because I was already missing her,
I had the urge to take akara & custard for breakfast this morning so I decided to ride on my bike down to my favorite akara spot to see if she was back from her sister wedding.

Luckily, she was around and was so happy seeing me (one of her biggest customers obviously)

After exchanging pleasantries, I decided to engage her for a while and asked her what her financial goals for 2025 was.

It was really fulfilling listening to her and I began to ponder while driving back home;

“If this lady can make so much money just by frying & selling snacks, what other REASON does anyone have to shake hands with POV€Rty if not ignorance.

After having deep conversations with her, I can now confidently say that,
“Truly, what one doesn’t know overwhelms him…”

There is Money in snacks business but there is work too.

She shared a few tips with me to encourage anyone who would love to venture into the business.

Allow God to lead you first. Meaning that before you venture into any business, you must hear from God first.

Have clarity and direction for
every business sales, growth & success.
She was comfortable selling her sowing materials before she ventured into this business.

Unbelievably, she never knew she would ever venture into Snacks business but today, this same business has made her millions in 2 years much more than her tailoring materials made for her in 10 years.

Passion for the business must be there. It’s the passion after she learnt it that makes her do the job with joy regardless of the stress.
Daily Practice is required to attain expertise.
She practiced daily & still practices otherwise the snacks won’t be as nice as it is today.
Learning is also very important. You can’t attain excellence with just guess work. She learnt how to get the perfect mixture & that is her secret sauce.
Consistency also helped her attain the height she is now. She is always available.

It’s from this business she started 2-3 years ago that she is using to train her first son in the university studying Business Administration & her first daughter who is about to get into the university too.

I love to buy from her always because she is very honest, neat & does not compromise her quality regardless of the economic situation.

In an environment where other snacks women have dropped the quality blaming it on the economy, Mama has maintained her but instead increased the price by 50%

She used to sell one at 50 box but now it’s 100 box

Guess what,
She still has the crowd in this area because she chose QUALITY over QUANTITY 🎯

Now they have accused her of using Cha-rm to sell that’s why she is still selling out yet hers is more expensive.
