I just wanted to share how we celebrated New Year's Eve! We were so happy because, for the first time in a while, the whole family was complete. 🎉 It was a simple gathering, but it meant a lot. As the eldest, I was in charge of everything—cooking, organizing, and making sure everything went smoothly. You know how it is being the eldest: you're expected to know it all and set a good example for your younger siblings.
It can be challenging at times, but for the sake of family, I'll always give my best. (Okay, this is starting to sound a bit dramatic! 😅) Anyway, back to the main purpose of this blog...
I made a prosperity bowl as part of a New Year's superstition. A prosperity bowl is a decorative bowl filled with meaningful items that symbolize wealth and abundance. These items can include coins, crystals, rice, cotton, money inside red envelopes (Ampao), gold chocolate coins, or fruits. The purpose of displaying a prosperity bowl is to attract financial success and serve as a visual reminder of your goals for prosperity. This tradition also aligns with Feng Shui principles, promoting balance and harmony in your space. (Check out the photo below to get a better idea of what it looks like!)
New Year’s Eve is a special time when people around the world prepare to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one. It’s not just about parties and fireworks; for many, it’s a moment of reflection and a chance to set intentions for positive change. This night serves as a natural pause in the flow of time, inviting us to look back on the year that has passed and look forward with hope and purpose.
