Quienes son mis seguidores saben que mi blog está siempre lleno de flores, que me encantan, que por dónde paso disfruto de sus colores y si es posible las capturo en una foto.
Ayer fue un día de esos en los que un árbol distinto llamó mi atención. Un árbol inusual en el paisaje cumanés, con unas flores amarillas que me llamaban en la distancia.
Sus flores me recordaron al Flamboyán, aunque amarillas, pero estaba segura de que no es el mismo. El Flamboyán si es un árbol común en las calles cumanesas, aunque quizá no tan común como los mangos (el mango debería ser un símbolo patrio).
No pude tomar mas fotos porque estaba empezando a llover, además que siempre me da un poco de miedo sacar el teléfono en la calle (los que viven en Venezuela probablemente me entenderán).
Apenas llegué a casa les compartí las imágenes a mi grupo de exploración literaria Flora Cumanensis, en dónde tenemos algunos botánicos. La meta era descubrir el nombre de este precioso árbol y fue así como descubrí que es conocida como palo sano, con el nombre científico Bulnesia arborea.
Realmente me impresiona la diversidad de plantas que podemos encontrar en esta ciudad, hay tanta riqueza en especies que vale la pena conservar.
Otra cosa que me parece interesante es que hay más presencia de especies nativas de otros continentes (mango y ponsigue, por ejemplo) que de especies que si son americanas.
Vale la pena preservar árboles como este que enriquecen la biodiversidad de nuestra ciudad, que nos dan sombra y nos alegran el paisaje con sus amarillas flores

Yesterday was one of those days when a different tree caught my attention. An unusual tree in the Cuman landscape, with yellow flowers that called to me in the distance.
Its flowers reminded me of the Flamboyant, although yellow, but I was sure that it is not the same. The Flamboyán is a common tree in the streets of Cuman, although perhaps not as common as mangoes (the mango should be a national symbol).
I couldn't take more photos because it was starting to rain, plus I'm always a little afraid to take out my phone on the street (those who live in Venezuela will probably understand me).
As soon as I got home I shared the images with my Flora Cumanensis literary exploration group, where we have some botanicals. The goal was to discover the name of this beautiful tree and that is how I discovered that it is known as palo sana, with the scientific name Bulnesia arborea.
I am really impressed by the diversity of plants that we can find in this city, there is so much wealth in species that it is worth preserving.
Another thing that seems interesting to me is that there is more presence of species native to other continents (mango and ponsigue, for example) than of species that are American.
It is worth preserving trees like this one that enrich the biodiversity of our city, that give us shade and brighten the landscape with their yellow flowers.
