Thoughts are energy, words have power and written words become reality. Art is a manifestation of the soul that together with words can break down frontiers.
Once the great impact of what happened in Bahia Blanca, as a consequence of a great tragedy, a catastrophic flood, had passed, the rocks of kindness came to my mind. They need them, I know they do.
Unlike what I usually do, which is to think first of the drawing or painting and then of the word that inspires me, the words were clear to me from the beginning: Hope and strength. That is what with my soul and my energy I want to send through this medium to all those who are in a bad way at the moment.
In life I learned that everything happens for a reason, and also that everything happens because of cause and effect and I always try to link the two. There were many causes for this tragedy to happen: lack of works was the main one I think, although there are more, like certain things that threaten the climate.
The most difficult thing was to analyse why all this is happening. Why lose goods, jobs, money, natural things and lives... why? And if you look at it, I don't ask why, I wonder what for.
When one's mind and heart are overridden by pain, it is difficult to give an answer to this question, but what for will depend on each circumstance and each person. Many have suffered absolute loss, have no place to live, or have lost family members, and some have barely had water in their homes... I wonder what for.. It depends on each individual case.
In my case, I have suffered some material damage, yes, of things that mattered a lot for family and emotional reasons, but they are things. But others lost family. Today I discovered my so what, which of course is personal. A concatenation of events and news unfolded and many things came to light, things I should know.
But for all those people who have no solace and are still cleaning the mud from their homes and who lost things that have a value beyond monetary I paint these stones of hope and strength. Even more so for those who lost a loved one. Especially for them goes these stones, because the pain that comes to me as energy is too much.
For hope I chose to paint a sapling, colourful leaves growing out of a trunk cut as if it were dead. But life always makes its way. And for strength I decided to paint a rope that doesn't break and has a flower on top of it giving colour to life.

Both drawings are very simple but powerful in their messages, although later in the painting I wanted to paint a mini picture, with a lot of shading and detail, although on small rocks it is more complicated.

In the case of the sprout, I first painted the background with blue, green, and above white as a bright light that brings out the hope manifested in that sprout. Paint underneath a piece of trunk with two shades of brown, some black and white and then the sprouting leaves with bright green, orange, red and white.
In the case of the rope, I also painted the background first, in two shades of brown and white and then started on the rope with dark brown, white and some black to create the shadows. The little flower I painted with orange, red, white and in the centre little yellow and black dots.

Finally I wrote the words of hope and strength on each one of them with the certainty that this feeling and intention will reach everyone who needs it.
Thank you very much for joining me today in this special moment. I send you my best regards. See you soon.
