For today, I'm presenting this series of scenarios, primarily intended to showcase this universe of black and white applied to different subjects, but with the same aim of highlighting characteristics of a photograph, such as contrast and texture. Therefore, this publication serves that purpose, as well as to show my perceptions of the world I see with my eyes and which I want to capture with my camera, a faithful instrument that always accompanies me on these journeys.
These photographs were taken during my visit to Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. A very extensive tour of the city, during which I had the opportunity to see many possible scenarios and, in fact, took many photographs. In the end, one always ends up discarding some, either because they are repeated over and over again or because they somehow don't meet one's expectations for the composition of that image.
A city that could be seen as somewhat desolate, but in reality, it's mostly due to the time I was there: between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., hours when the sun is normally at its brightest and the heat is very intense. Therefore, at that time, you don't usually see many people. Besides the simple fact that people might be having lunch, I found myself walking around every corner in the sweltering heat, but it was perfect for what I wanted to capture: that spectrum of vision that one wants to capture in this infinite world of images.
