On my previous post here in TAR , I wrote about the Ghibli Studios and one of the stories featured was about the Grave of the Fireflies. With this, @Mojiko mentioned how "The Tale of Princess Kaguya" was not talked about. And yes, it is true.

I thought I have watched it before but to my surprise, I really haven't watched it yet! I am very sorry for thinking that I have watched it already. Maybe I was confused with Princess Mononoke. That I am sure that I have watched it already. So when I realized I didn't watch it yet, I downloaded it on Netflix and watched it for the very first time.

Indeed, it was very different from the animation of other Ghibli movies I have watched before which has very detailed and full of colors. The way The Tale of Princess Kaguya was made is subtle and peaceful (I think). It seems relaxing. It refreshes my eyes from all those overly colored animations. I don't know the aim on why it is made that way but I like it. More of a "Madeline" like animation.

The story revolves around a princess that came from a bamboo shoot. A young, carefree woman bounded by responsibilities and duties of a noble princess. Though she doesn't like it, she was pressured to do so.

My favorite part is when she was happily appreciating the beauty of the Sakura Blossoms. It was cut short but that moment was really good!

Many were mesmerized but is outsmarted by her. I'd love to tell you her story but I'd like you to appreciate it by watching it yourself. The art, The story line, The message...

    Takeaways

    1. Truly, you cannot judge a book by it's cover... And this movie proves it well. At first I did not took interest but as I continued watching it...it got my attention.
