Not that it has much to do with my activity for the day, but my school kicked off our week of celebrating and highlighting Hispanic culture during our advisory time. I value these opportunities to connect with my students and learn about part of their cultural identity that is important to them.
Monday's activity focused on the indigenous civilizations of the Americas, like the Maya, Inca, Aztec, and Taino people. But the students were more excited about the pizza party they earned for winning Friday's color war. I felt particularly miserable after gobbling a few slices to celebrate with the students. I should have laid off the Little Caesars.
Came home after school and didn't do much of anything to cap off the 10K day. Those stairs really take it out of me at school. Next thing you know, BAM, I've walked 20 flights in one day without even noticing. Just my weekday "daily activity" as I'm "moving around office." Until next time...
