Pluck the duck

Yes ladies and gentlemen, plucking the duck is something I learned since I was a child, it turns out that at my maternal grandmother's house they did it regularly once a month or at least that's how I remember it because it was the time my parents spent visiting my grandparents.

During those visits my grandmother would take a duck from her litter and make it for lunch, and she would kill, pluck and debone it herself, and she taught me and my cousins and cousins this task, which although it may seem frightening, serves to feed the family.

Killing, plucking and boning dishes is something I still do today, I also do it with chickens because it is a way to connect with those days I lived in my childhood.
