Floral portrait

Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well.
In today’s blog ill be sharing the floral potrait that I made of my dearest friend to gift her🫶🏻.

    Materials:
The materials that I used to made these include,
    Scholar sheet 📄
    Lead pencil ✏️
    Black pointer 🖊️
    Pencil colors
    Marker colors

    1st Step:

Firsty, I grabbed the pencil and started drawing some lines to get the inital structure of the face, so that ill work on that further.

Drew a few fearures and this is out it started looking.

    2nd Step:

The second step is add the more details to the intial setup, in this stage more depth creating lines were added to give it a more precise look.

    3rd Step:

The next step is do the shading, in this step, the harsh lines are blurred down, I did it by using my fingers, rubbing slightly on the harsh lines so that they blend down. It gives a more subtle look to the drawing.

    4th Step:

Then in place of eyes, I started making flowers, as this was a floral portrait so I decided to go with making flowers on the eyes, they seemed more symbolic.
Anyhow ai started ny making 2 big flowers and some leaflets from their sides.

It was looking beautiful in this stage too.

But I ended up drawing four large flowers, just like a flower crown and little leflets from the sides.

Added a few more details like little leaves, dark tiny stems etc and this is how it turned out after giving thoese details. It was looking beautiful and was coming together.

    Step 5:

The next step consists of outlining what I had drawn so far, I used a black pointer to outline it.

This is how it turned out when I firstly completed the flower set. After outlining it was looking more presice 🤝

Completed the outlines somehow and it was getting way better.

    Step 6:

After outlining everything, I erased the previously drawn pencil lines by using a rubber. This step is really important amd should be done before coloring otherwise a mess is created as the pencil lines mix with the colors.

    Step 7:

In this step I started adding the colors to the potrait, colouring the lips, giving the tint to the cheeks.

For coloring the flowers, i chosed dark colors to color, as her personality is dark and very deep so I intended to use such dark and absorbing colors.

But I also added vibrant colors to the leaves and buds that represents the tiny amout of spicy nature that she has, her jolly and silly side is represented through these little leafs.

    Step 8:

In the final step I colored the hair and added some marker lines to the hair to give them a direction.
And this is how it came together.

To me it was beautiful and meaningful representing her soul and nature, I hope she likes it when I give it to her.
This is it for this blog, see you guys in the next one🤝
