We had a refresher orientation a few days ago, on April 9, 2024. It was held at Ma'am Chimegipamus's church. She messaged our GC before the day of orientation happened; she also informed us that we can bring newbies who want to join. I grabbed this opportunity to bring my cousin and one of my neighbors who wanted to join.

The day of our refresher orientation

Ma'am @chimegipamus reminded us that the orientation will start at 10 a.m. At 8:30, I started to prepare for what I would wear and then bathed myself. Before I was finished with what I'd been doing, my boyfriend came. He said that he came to pick me up because he knows that I move rather slowly to take my time.

At exactly 9:50, I'm done with what I've done. We pick up our neighbor and tag him along with my cousin. I guess luck wasn't on our side at that time because there are no vehicles that we can ride to reach the place of orientation.

She lets us know what are the topic of this orientation

We sat on chairs that were prepared, and one of the girls sitting across our rows handed me an attendance sheet. The newbies I bring also write their names.

While waiting for the others to arrive, @memwuai and I engaged in a conversation about our modules and other topics. After a few minutes, the rest of my classmates arrived.

The orientation started by following the assigned role:

    • Getting to know each other - Ma'am @chimegipamus, she also lets us play a game which is 7 Up.

Im always fast at smiling at the camera

    • The mechanics of the game are that we were formed into a circle, and whoever finishes at the count of seven, and if the ends of their fingers are pointing to their left or right, the person that has been pointed at is the one who says our usernames. This game was fun and let us know who we're interacting with.

    • Prayer - @chaparlepez

Finally, the orientation came to an end. @chaparlepez took the lead once again and led the closing.

After the orientation, we were invited to try the budol-budol style of eating. We all headed out together to enjoy our dining experience with our new acquaintance.

As you can see here, they are bloggers and newbies to Hive. By this refresher orientation, all batches that had been oriented are mostly present. We got to know them while eating and discussing more things related to this platform. Most of us are students who love to write, and those who love to travel and write about their experiences.

A Pinoy Budol Fight, also known as a Boodle Fight, is a traditional Filipino dining experience where a generous amount of food is served on a table, typically covered with banana leaves. Participants gather around the table and eat with their bare hands, but as for us, we're using plastics to cover our hands. The term "budol" refers to the act of eating heartily and enjoying the food.

I'm sorry for the low quality

After enjoying the food, some people approached @keith-allen15 to withdraw their HBD (Hive Backed Dollars) and convert them into cash. They faced difficulties in trading their digital currency for cash, but fortunately, a helpful buyer guided them through the process. after they're done, we're preparing to go home.

After successfully converting their HBD to cash, we prepared to go home. We gathered our belongings, said our goodbyes, and made transportation arrangements.

That's all. As we (Nagahanon) get to know each other, we look forward to getting to know everyone in here as well. Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you enjoyed it. Keep active, and look forward to my new blogs!!
