    Hawan

What is Hawan? How do you read it? These questions will be answered in todays post.
Hello friends and welcome to my new article.

Hawan or Havan? How to read it? HA - WA - NAH
Make sure the accent is put on the NAH just as Hindus do it.

Hawan is the ceremony where various substances such as grain, rice and ghee is put into the fire that is made from burning wood.

    WHY WE DO HAWAN?
Hawan is done to purify the whole body and atmosphere around us. It symbolizes that we clean ourselfs from all bad energy and thoughts. The smoke has a very good smell because of the wood and ghee that goes into it.

While doing hawan we chant different mantras for the whole universe to be safe. If a Hindu performs such rituals it's not only for their own well being but for every single molecule in this universe and all the other which science hasn't found yet.

Below I have some shots of a Hawan ceremony...
