One of the biggest things I am learning on my 3D printing journey is the importance of keeping your filament dry. Now for those who have no idea what that means, well the filament is the plastic that you use in a 3D printer. That's just what it's called. The problem is that it absorbs moisture, and in a humid climate, that can work against you.
If you have been following along my journey, then you know that I bought a double roll dryer last week and it is working like a charm and my prints are coming out SO MUCH BETTER! So I knew I needed one for each of the other printers. Well today, they came to the door via FedEx! I got them unboxed, setup, and they are already drying! Due to my current setup in the Logical Labs here on my homestead that I call Moss Rock Farms, I was better off getting a single dryer for each of the other 2 machines I have. It just works out better in the long run. The great thing is that I can turn on the dryers while printing to help keep the filament as moisture free as possible before and during the printing process to get the best quality possible.
I am finally feeling a bit of completeness here in my little factory, which is a nice feeling. So now, I just need to start getting more filament rolls, lol. I already see a new addiction forming. But hey, the way I look at it. I can get rolls of some good filament for a great price and make whatever I need! So to me, that's better than gold!
