    This recipe feels nostalgic again. My late mother always taught us to utilize ingredients available in nature. It really helped us not to starve when we were struggling financially.

    Green banana, one of my family's favorite foods. Green bananas for us are like potatoes. But we didn't have enough money in the past to buy potatoes. So my late mother in the past used green bananas as a delicious ingredient.

    Just like potatoes or sweet potatoes, green bananas can be made into delicious snacks. Even in the past, our family consumed these spiced green bananas as a side dish.

    So, on this occasion, I will share with you how I process green bananas into delicious snacks that are addictive! The seasoning is also very easy to find, especially in our area.

    For the ingredients, I use green chilies, garlic, and shallots. Salt, sugar, coriander powder, and chili sauce!

    The taste and texture of spiced green bananas are even perfect for an afternoon snack, just like fried potatoes with various seasonings. So, it is also perfect to accompany coffee or tea.

    The Ingredients

    • 4 green bananas
    • 50 grams of green chilies

    • 5 cloves of shallots
    • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon of coriander powder
    • 1 tablespoon of chili sauce



    COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

    Peel the Green Bananas

    Prepare a knife that has been smeared with vegetable oil so that the sap from the green bananas does not stick to the knife. Also, grease your hands with oil.

    Then, peel the green bananas and then soak them in water to prevent them from turning black.



    Cut Peeled Green Bananas

    After peeling the green bananas, cut them into pieces. I cut them into cubes.



    Fry Green Bananas

    Heat vegetable oil, then fry the green bananas until they turn golden brown. Don't forget to flip them over to the other side. I fried them for about 3 minutes per side.



    Cook Seasoning

    After frying the green bananas, it's time to prepare the seasoning. Heat some oil, then add sliced ​​green chilies, sliced ​​shallots, and sliced ​​garlic. Cook them until fragrant.



    Add More Seasoning

    After the onion and chili seasoning becomes fragrant, then add salt, sugar, coriander powder, chili sauce. Stir well for a while.



    Cook Fried Green Bananas

    After the seasoning is done, add the fried green bananas. Stir them well until the fried banana blends well with the green chili seasoning. Then remove.



    SERVING

    Serve the spiced green bananas while warm. If it has cooled, the texture of the spiced green bananas will lose its crunchy.
