Hello, good morning everyone. A few days ago I told you that I was enjoying several series at the same time, and I have been watching this one since last year. It is “La Promesa”, a Spanish series that I started watching through the subscription channel HBO Max, and continued watching through Televisora Española TVE, from Monday to Friday at 7.30 am, Venezuela time.

What is the series about?

La Promesa is a series or telenovela, set in the early twentieth century, and developed in a Spanish province called Cordoba. The scenery is spectacular, and one of the things I liked most about this series was the elegance of the Luján palace, and the costumes of that time. The country sites were beautiful, and there was a very pleasant atmosphere for any lifestyle.

The story begins when Jana, her newborn baby brother, and her mother, were running away from some guards. Sadly, they were caught and Jana's mother asked her to run away with the baby. The girl could not keep her promise to her mother to take care of her baby brother, and left him near a river, and she jumped off a cliff.

The guards took the baby, and left the girl for dead. Thus, 15 years later, Jana, now a woman, began the search for her kidnapped brother, knowing that the place where all the clues to his whereabouts were, was the Luján Palace, in the hacienda La Promesa.

The girl arrives at La Promesa looking for a job as a maid, and as fate would have it, she meets Manuel Luján under strange circumstances due to an accident the boy had. When she saved his life, the Marquises of Luján wanted to reward her with a reward, and the young girl only asked to be given a job.

Some time later, as Manuel Luján's wife, she began the search for the clues to find her brother, and arrived at a secret place in the palace where many mysteries began to be uncovered. Jana is getting closer every day to clarify the whole truth about the murder of her mother, the kidnapping of her brother, and who is behind all this event.

This series is very interesting, and every day a situation arises that leaves us anxiously waiting for the next chapter to find out how the plot unravels. I invite you to watch it on Max, from the beginning, or follow its outcome on Tve.

Hola, buenos días a todos. Días atrás les comenté que estaba disfrutando de varias series a la vez, y ésta la vengo viendo desde el año pasado. Se trata de “La Promesa”, una serie española que comencé a ver por el canal de suscripción HBO Max, y continué viendo a través de Televisora Española TVE, de lunes a viernes a las 7.30 am, hora de Venezuela.

De qué trata la serie?

La Promesa es una serie o telenovela, ambientada en principios del siglo XX, y desarrollada en una provincia española llamada Córdoba. Los paisajes son espectaculares, y una de las cosas que más me agradó de esta serie, fue la elegancia del palacio Luján, y los trajes de aquella época. Los sitios campestres eran hermosos, y se percibía un ambiente muy agradable para cualquier estilo de vida.

En la serie por suscripción, se desarrolla la trama por temporadas, y hasta ahora van 3. La historia comienza cuando Jana, su hermanito recién nacido, y su madre, huían de unos guardias. Tristemente, los alcanzaron y la madre de Jana le pidió que huyera con el bebé. La niña no pudo cumplir con la promesa hecha a su madre de cuidar de su hermanito, y lo dejó cerca de un río, y ella se lanzó desde un risco.

Los guardias se llevaron al bebé, y dieron a la niña por muerta. De esta manera, 15 años después, Jana ya convertida en una mujer, comenzó la búsqueda de su hermano secuestrado, sabiendo que el sitio donde estaban todas las pistas para dar con su paradero, era el Palacio Luján, en la hacienda La Promesa.

La chica llega a La Promesa buscando trabajo como criada, y por cosas del destino, conoce a Manuel Luján en extrañas circunstancias por un accidente que tuvo el chico. Al salvarle la vida, los marqueses de Luján quisieron premiarla con una recompensa, y la joven sólo pidió que le dieran trabajo.

Tiempo después, ya convertida en la esposa de Manuel Luján, comenzó la búsqueda de las pistas para hallar a su hermano, y llegó a un sitio secreto en el palacio donde muchos misterios comenzaron a descubrirse. Jana cada día va más cerca de aclarar toda la verdad acerca del asesinato de su madre, el secuestro de su hermano, y quiénes están detrás de todo este suceso.

Esta serie es muy interesante, y cada día surge una situación que nos deja con la ansiedad de esperar el siguiente capítulo para saber cómo se desenreda la trama. Los invito a verla por Max, desde el inicio, o seguir su desenlace por Tve.
