God will move on your behalf when the posture of your heart is in the right place.
God took me to the book of Psalms, the 51st chapter today. We know that from scripture, David was burdened because of guilt. Because David told the Lord, he said, restore unto me the joy of my salvation and uphold me with thy free spirit.
At that time, God wanted a true repentance from David. God wanted David to be willing to submit to his will. Because in the Old Testament, when they had done anything against the will of God, what they did was they sacrificed burnt offerings, whole offerings, in order to receive forgiveness from God. But in David's case, it was different.
Because he said in that chapter, for thou desirest not the sacrifices else I would give it Thou delightest not in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God is a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. God was looking at the posture of David's heart, not what he had to offer him. David aligned himself to the will. Then the sacrifice that David had to offer God, it wasn't contaminated to God.
Because David knew his wrong, he admitted to it, and he changed. When the posture of your heart is in the right place, it will be easier to submit to the will of God. Because the posture of man's heart is what moves God.
God doesn't delight in our words alone. Neither does he delight in what we have. But he looked at the posture of man's heart.
