After a couple of weeks away from here, I'm back on the blockchain.
I'm an active member of the Pep's Art collective here in Nantes since 2023. We are painters, sculptors, graffiti artists, drawers, photographers, upcyclers, lightpainters...
We created the Nez en l'Air festival in 2022 and we'll do the 3rd edition this year in March. We stabilized the event : the new domain which joined in 2024 left but we had several candidates for replacment in 2025. We decided to choose the Bonnet-Huteau domain and they were very excited about it.
As I'll do an exhibition in one location and do several lightpainting photocalls/workshops at different spots, I had to vist a couple of vineyards for scouting.
Here's a picture I took at the Bonnet-Huteau domain a couple of weeks ago :
I tried to create a kind of beam in the right-third to balance frame in symmetrical and chromatical way. It kinda look like a claw too. Otherwise, I first drew an abstract light-calligraphy on the left-third then I lit the place using the backlight scanner in light-blue and by the right of the camera in orange.
Lightpainting created in real time, captured to the camera in one single photographic frame. SOOC
No layers /no Photoshop / no editing except minor adjustments and addition of my logo.

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
