I'd use "Wrong Fatherhood" for this story but then I thought, fatherhood is fatherhood. So, this is not a major mission, its just a boy randomly asking for help and I went to see what's going on. It was mainly a hostage situation but it became emotional at the end.
I was at Saint Denis, looking for shadows to join the shadow hunting contest somedays ago and when I was walking by the gun store, that boy called me from the basement and requested me to help him saying he was being abducted by the store owner.
I went inside and had the store owner at my gun point but he was not scared at all as his business is with guns. But when I asked him what's in his basement, man started sobbing and was saying there's nothing there.
I threatened him so he opened the door of the basement and took me there though he was saying he got his boy sleeping down there and was not wishing to wake him up. The boy asked the man to stay away from him after we went down there.
The boy looked happy seeing me down there and I noticed he was chained up dressed as a child. The store owner was saying he did it for the boy's own good. When I asked the man what was going on there, he said the boy stole candy from the store so he chained him up for his own good but the boy was saying he's not the man's little boy.
The boy was saying that man who is a maniac and thought the boy as his kid son and made him wear that sailor dress when the man was saying he can't lose his son again. I pointed the gun at him and he got scared when the boy was requesting me to shoot the chain.
I shot the chain and the boy was leaving the basement thanking me and at that very moment, the man apologized to the boy stating he knows it was wrong so the boy stopped there.
The man put out a photo out of his pocket and said he lost his son Sammy when he was teaching the kid how to use a rifle as the kid slipped into the water after the recoil shot backwards and the water pulled him downstream quickly.
The man mentioned this boy looked just like his son so he chained him to keep his son close. The boy then ran outside when the man was crying.
The man asked me to take anything I want from there so I started looking around and found this rifle along with some cash.
Then I came out of the basement, and took the cash from the counter before leaving as a payment for my job and for not shooting that abductor.
Here I'm finishing the post for today and I'll come talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
