When I am tired of modern music I'm grateful that there is still ethereal music being made.
Here are three songs from movie soundtracks that are epic to say the least.
The first song comes from one of my favorite sountdracks, The Lord Of The Rings series. I've had all three soundtracks since they were released and it's great background music when you're working on HIVE posts!

Next up is a song from the 2014 movie, Interstellar. It's actually the main theme for the movie and perhaps it's because I love the movie or pehaps it's really is just a powerful song, but regardless I love it.

My third song was from a legendary band called Tangerine Dream. You probably haven't heard of Tangerine Dream, a group of 3 German electronic music producers. Their music is without a doubt is the most influential sound for all modern electronic music. Their 1974 album Phaedra sounds like it was made yesterday! Have a listen to this song from the cult horror classic The Keep.

WIld car. My wild card tune is also by Tangerine Dream with vocals by Yes frontman Jon Anderson. It was the theme for the epic movie Legend in 1985 starring Tom Cruise.

Finally, I'm going to throw in one extra tune, actually a full album, because history is so important. It's the full album Phaedra by Tangerine Dream and it blew me away when I first heard it. I have heard many similar sounds and patterns and effects in modern music, but these guys were doing it in the early 70's! In fact, you could take some of it and put beats behind it and it would fit right in today.
