Healthy finger millet flatbread recipe

    Welcome to my blog. I am so glad that you are here again. Today i am here with one more healthy recipe of finger millet flatbread.

    We always try different Curry , And sometimes we also change the chapati ( flatbread). We usually made wheat chapati, millet chapati and mishi roti.

    But nowadays we tried some more flatbread. Here i wanna share about a healthy flatbread recipe: finger millet flatbread recipe which we also called ragi roti (chapati).

    Finger millet is a super grain , which mostly popular in south india but now all place it like so much because of it's nutrition factor. This is gluten-free grain which is a good source of calcium, iron and fiber. This is also a good option of weight loss .

    When my kid was 7 months old i start to add this grain to his diet , And now I am trying to feed this flour to everyone along with flatbread and pancakes. This is easy to make . First day i knead dough normally, but next day i saw a youtube video where i saw that method , i tried it and it was superb. So i thought to share it with you all 😀

    INGREDIENTS ✅

    • Finger Millet ( ragi flour) 1 cup
    • Water 1+1/4 cup
    • Salt 1/4 tsp
    • Oil 1 tsp
    • Flour for dust

    METHOD ✅

    STEP 1 :

    First take 1 bowl ragi flour and 1 1/4 cup water.

    Put the water in a large vessel and heat the water. Heat it till water boil. Also add salt and oil in it.

    STEP 2 :

    When the water boils, add ragi ( finger millet) flour , mix it and turn of the flame. Again give it a good mix and rest it for 2 minutes.

    STEP 3 :

    Now in a plate take 1 tsp oil and Now we will take out the dough that prepared in hot water...And now mash it well for 2 minutes and prepare a soft dough. This is a superb method of making dough...it doesn't crack in the dough and the dough is made perfect . Now rest it for 10-20 minutes.

    STEP 4 :

    Now we will divide the dough into small balls like this. I took 1 small bowl and made 4 flatbreads. Now dust the ball and flatten it with the help of rolling pin or with your hand.

    Heat a pan or tawa and place that flatten roti in it. Keep the flame medium. Flip when you see small bubbles on chapati. Now make roti with the help of clean cloth. Press slightly with the help of cloth and cook well. Flip 2-3 times. We've to make only on the tawa or pan. Within 1-2 minute your chapathi is ready.
    Make another chapti/flatbread like this.

    Your chapti/ flatbread is ready to enjoy. You can spread vegan butter or ghee on it or enjoy as it. We enjoy it without ghee or butter.

    That day i make this chapati and everyone enjoyed it hot , so i was not able to capture final picture perfectly.

    You can enjoy it with any types of curry or dal. It is really healthy option for your loved ones and family. So must try it.
