Este Año Nuevo estuvo lleno de emociones encontradas. Por un lado, me sentí muy triste porque mi mamá y mis hermanos no pudieron acompañarme; un problema con su carro les impidió salir de casa y no hubo manera de que llegaran. Era un momento importante para mí, y su ausencia se sintió mucho. Pero, por otro lado, tuve la fortuna de recibir el año con la familia de mi novio, a quienes también considero como parte de mi familia. A pesar de todo, disfruté el momento, rodeada de cariño, risas y tradiciones, cerrando el año con muchas fotos y abrazos, y abriendo el nuevo con esperanza y bendiciones. Un inicio que me recordó lo valioso de cada instante compartido, incluso cuando faltan personas importantes.

This New Year was full of mixed emotions. On the one hand, I felt very sad because my mom and my brothers couldn't come with me; a problem with their car prevented them from leaving the house and there was no way for them to get there. It was an important moment for me, and their absence was greatly felt. But, on the other hand, I was fortunate to welcome the year with my boyfriend's family, whom I also consider part of my family. Despite everything, I enjoyed the moment, surrounded by love, laughter and traditions, closing the year with many photos and hugs, and opening the new one with hope and blessings. A beginning that reminded me of the value of each shared moment, even when important people are missing.
