My Actifit Report Card: January 1 2025

Hello everyone 😻,

Happy hump 🐪 day and a very warm welcome to my report. Happy new year too and welcome to 2025. It will be an amazing and impressive year💯. As usual I am back to fill you in on how the day went including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Alright, here we go again, come on 💨.
I did begin my day with the usual walk around the neighborhood. I went grocery shopping then extended a bit into the main road and back indoors.
Throughout the day I followed up on the trending stories, watched some YouTube and checked out Twitter too.
It's been mostly cloudy ☁️ and a bit rainy 🌧️ the entire day, despite this the new year parade in Central London went on as per tradition.
My last walk was the sunset 🌄 walk, slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
That's about it, and now let's turn our attention to the trending stories that made headlines.
Starting off in Gaza, the blood bath continued with the deaths of 28 Palestinians across the strip😿. Israel not giving them a break even on the first day of the year🙀.
Meanwhile, life is slowly turning unbearable for most people, the heavy rain and freezing temperatures are adding to the misery as tents leak. On top of that they are scrambling for the little food available. Not a great start to the new year😿.
Not far off, Syria is gearing up for a major national conference aimed at shaping its future under the new administration.
The foreign minister added that Syria was ready for talks with US and Europe urging them to lift sanctions against Syria as Assad regime is now gone.
In the other war, Russia didn't give Ukraine any new year break. Multiple drones attacks on Kyiv were launched. Most drones intercepted but some got through causing damage to an apartment building killing two people😿.
Speaking of Russia, they have now officially shut off gas supplies to Europe.
Then Romania and Bulgaria trending as they join the Schengen zone after a 13 year wait. Congratulations 🎊.
Across the pond, a deranged man drove through a crowd killing ten people in New Orleans 😿. He was shot dead at scene, Police say he was an army veteran and didn't act alone, the investigation is on to identify other suspects.
The FBI says IS flag and possible explosives were found🙀.
In other breaking news, police are investigating the explosion of a tesla cybertruck outside Trump hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada🙀. I wonder what that's about.
Finally, in crazy weather, more than 100 flood warnings have been issued across the UK and a major incident declared in greater Manchester as wind and rain 🌧️ hits on this first day of 2025🙀.
Let's hope things will get better, all's well that ends well 💯
