The sandhill cranes are coming back from the southern states in large groups.
Every time I go outside I can hear them chortling high up in the sky.
Finally I had a couple groups fly low enough for some photos.
I still don't quite know the fields where they gather in large numbers to take a rest before going farther north.
But I do know a few places where they raise their young.
Probably by next month they'll have babies hatched learning how to pick the prairies clean of frogs, insects and rodents.
Soon I'll be going back to Arizona to see where they came from. I suspect there are still large groups hanging out over there still.
In the meantime their loud dinosaur noises are nice to hear overhead.
Now off they go to Wisconsin and other Northern states.
I was hoping to line sone up with the moon but the shot never manifested.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
