TOAST BOX

Yesterday, after I finished work, I thought of going out and going somewhere. Coincidentally, I was also in the mood for something sweet, maybe a drink or food. While I was taking my afternoon shower, I was thinking about what I would buy, or where I would spend the afternoon? Then, I remembered a cafe with a cozy ambiance! Although it's not exactly new, it was the first time I wanted to try this cafe.

    TOAST BOX

To be honest, I'm not sure what to call this Toast Box model, is it a cafe or a shop? Or a tenant?

However, since I saw a food vlogger refer to this as a cafe, I called it that. However, the Gandaria City branch of Toast Box does not have its own building, but is located within the Gandaria City shopping center building. From the name, of course we all immediately guessed, that the main menu of this cafe is toast.

That's right! In the catalog, the top and first menu is toast. Toast Box. In the era of the onslaught of various toast shops with various toppings with very thick bread type, Toast Box actually gives a classic feel with their mainstay menu, namely traditional toast, such as: toast topped with butter, butter sugar, kaya butter, and peanut butter which is priced from Rp 28,000 to Rp 33,000.

However, not monotonous on traditional toast, Toast Box also presents dozens of other menus divided into several categories, such as: Thick Toast, Sandwich/Special Toast, Asian Delights, Drinks, Side Dish, and Desserts. The price range on the entire menu is between Rp 16,000 the cheapest to Rp 89,000 the most expensive. There are so many menus from light to heavy, Toast Box customers feel no need to worry about menu problems.

    COFFEE I ORDERED

I visited Toast Box with two of my friends. While they ordered tea and the other milk based, I ordered Coffee O which according to the waiter became a favorite menu. As for snacks, I ordered Toats Thick with condensed milk topping and milo powder. The menu I ordered, from the bread to the coffee, really reminded me of home. It's a simple toast with luxurious memories. From the look to the taste, it brings back childhood memories.

If you hear the name Kopi O, you might think that I am in Malaysia or Singapore, indeed this coffee is said to be more famous in these two countries. But in Indonesia there are also many who serve this coffee in their coffee shops...

If usually Kopi O is better known to be served only with coffee and sugar, but there are also those who serve it mixed with milk. Like what Toat Box has. This Tiope Kopi O with milk has a flavor that is not too strong. Maybe it's because the milk helps to lighten the flavor to offset the bitterness of the coffee.

    SPACES

With a room type without partition, Toast Box, which is not too spacious, still looks cozy, clean and not cramped. All the table settings look just right and very edgy. From the outside, it's obvious that the first impression of Toast Box is luxurious, but who would have thought that the menu would be so classic.

For the frontmost space, two long tables with high chairs without arms and backrests on the two left and right sides, while the low-hanging pot holder ornament makes a sweet and green impression. This space is suitable for group-type visitors. Perhaps for family or colleagues.

Meanwhile, at the edge, a pair of chairs with a small round table are lined up. This is suitable for small groups like me and my two friends. There is still space inside, but I forgot to take a picture because most visitors sit inside. The type of seat with a round table is the same as the one I occupied.

While the table for ordering is actually on the outside next to the serving room. we ordered first, this ordering place is just a small room that connects to the serving room or kitchen. Although cramped, everything looks nice and impressive.

Finally, that afternoon I filled my cravings with appropriate desires as well as having a good time with my friend, talking about writing and the occasional life.

Okay, thanks, guys... for listening to my story! Stay tuned for my next post!
