MY TRIBUTE TO MOTHERS - LOH 185

Despite the fact that I wasn't privileged enough to enjoy my mother's love and understand the sacrifices she made for me, I know she still loved me, and I'm grateful to still have the opportunity to call someone mother. There are many people out there who grew up without having anyone to call mother, and even though I didn't live with mine, it's comforting to know she's somewhere I can reach anytime I want.

I was a lucky girl growing up because I got to call many women mothers; they were indeed mothers to me. Sometimes people even think they were my real mother due to the love they showed me. So, even though I never grew up understanding my mother's love and sacrifice, I still got to know how amazing it is to be loved by a mother figure.

Women who are mothers are strong! They're amazing, strong-willed, intelligent, resilient, virtuous, and many more. This post is dedicated to every woman who has been a mother indeed!

It's how you love me even when I feel undeserving of such love. I remember when you made drastic decisions just to please me, and in the end, you got scolded by your husband or friends. You were always observant of my every step, worried I might make the same mistakes as you did, so you always gave me advice whenever you got the chance. You praised me when I did something right and were disappointed when I was wrong, which helped me do better.

Your love towards me makes those around me think I'm more privileged than they are, even when I don't really have you to myself as I should. It's a mystery that I'm still trying to understand - how I was never blood-related to most of the amazing women I called mom, yet they were indeed mothers to me. I don't have much to say, but I know I've felt a mother's love for her child, and I'm happy to be a lady who will one day get the opportunity to also be a mother.

I hope I become a good mother to my children so they can be happy to have someone to call their mom. Mothers are like shields to their children, and it's always better to have one as a child; otherwise, many things become difficult. I'm grateful to @cautiva-30 for this beautiful topic suggestion. I hope you enjoy my little response to it.
