So, I have been hearing a lot of wrestling fans talking about the CM Punk and Jack Perry saga back In AEW. I wanted to clear the air over this Incase fans of Punk later see this video
This is just my opinion on it;
I am no wrestling professional, though I have been keeping tabs on it.
There was this argument that took place between CM Punk and Jack Perry regarding using glass in a wrestling match.
However, while CM Punk believed that the use of glass in a ring could be dangerous to their lives, Jack Perry saw no problem with it. This even went to an extent where they started arguing intensely which led to some people claiming that there might be a backstage fight.
Nevertheless, both sides of the argument make sense to me.
On one side, CM Punk has been around for long and probably knows what is safe for them inside the ring. On another hand though, there may have been some logic behind why Jack Perry wanted to use glass.
This is where it gets messy.
Instead of maturely discussing the matter, things escalated and CM Punk spoke on camera during a wrestling event. Now I know emotions were running high but perhaps that was not the right time or place to address such issues.
On top of that, there’s also talk about what went down backstage. There are rumors about fights and suspensions flying around and it is difficult to say what’s true and what’s false.
But regardless of whatever happened, it is clear that things spiraled out of control.
In my opinion though, I think all those involved could have handled this differently. CM Punk might have been a little bit more empathetic while Jack Perry should have heard him out. Moreover, maybe the rest of professional wrestling world would be best off staying out rather than adding fuel to the fire.
At the end of the day, it’s really disheartening to see so much negativity around something that is supposed to be a fun and entertaining game.
Wrestling should unite people and not divide them. So, let us just hope that all who have anything to do with this can forget about it for a moment and concentrate on what is essential: delivering excellent performances for their supporters.
On the whole, CM Punk/Jack Perry situation is just a mess and one would wish that these gifted wrestlers will not get caught in any of this high drama.
Hopefully they can work things out so that they can go back to doing what they are best at which is entertaining us in the ring.
