As much as life has been playing hardball with me, I have to give great thanks to the universe for putting me in the right place at the right time.

On Wednesday, day 5 of going to the gym, I was so frantic, as I woke up a little later from my nap than I should have. I dropped my contact lenses on the floor so I had to open new ones (and they're bloody expensive). Then when I got to the gym, this totally stereotypical BMW asshat parked in two parking bays. One being the disabled bay! I was so cross I wrote a note on the back of a cash receipt, telling them they parked like an asshole. I'm not sure how much difference it will make to them... usually, if I am really cross, I'll write on their windscreen with lipstick. I hate inconsiderate drivers.

Argh. So I went inside to wallow in the pool and noted that some people were getting ready for a class and were cornering off a part of the pool. At first, I was a bit grumpy, but then, something told me to go over and chat to the woman who seemed to be in charge. I asked her if she was taking classes, specifically physio, and we got to chatting. she didn't have much time to chat, but I was able to tell her enough that she is willing to give me some of her time for nothing ❀️❀️❀️❀️ one on one rehabilitation physio is what I've been desperately needing all this time. My first session was supposed to be last night, but I learned my lesson. When she says class starts at 7 she means you must be in the water at 7: not walking in the door!

She had to wake up at 4am this morning to be on the boat in time, so we agreed we'd try again today at 2pm. I did a bit of internet stalking and discovered she's a serious trainer, and does a lot of open water swimming. She is also an Olympic level coach and is a qualified physio who has also studied sports psychology.

I feel so blessed. Really. It's amazing how things come together when the time is right.

So, since I was already there, I carried on without her last night, doing some of my own exercises that I picked up from the previous physio ( that turned out to be a nightmare) and swam a few laps.

When I got home, Aime had prepared a lovely dinner for us. I arrived just as she was serving!! How lucky I am to have @aimeludick in my life to help out when I need it.

I had a terrible craving for chocolate last night though, and was searching the pantry for anything.. even a biscuit would have sufficed... but there was nothing. As I was getting ready for bed, I took off my jersey and realized I'd been hearing this crunching noise all night! Look what it turned out to be! How cruel πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I thought the craving would go away, but as @zakludick and I were watching a really good series on Netflix (Snow Piercer) he eventually got out of bed and went to his car where he had an emergency chocolate stashed! Hehehehe. So, we did share it and I admit I caved a little. Lets hope I can keep my resolve strong going forward!
