Recovering from too much turkey: December 2 2024

    In my heart of hearts, I’m a foodie. I live to cook, and I live to eat! It’s a rather challenging combo since I also love to be healthy, fit and slender.

    I recently lost 15 pounds by cutting way back on calories and ramping up exercise. And it feels great. But here we are at the holidays, and you know what that means — parties, gatherings, and more food and drink than usual! (Like Thanksgiving, when I consumed a bit too much turkey!)

    So I’m trying, overall, to go for small portions, and get a good workout in as many days a week as possible. Tonight, I worked out while watching Netflix and managed to get 5k+ steps and lift weights to the degree that I will be sore tomorrow!

    I have no pictures to show for it, but I will share a couple of photos of me from over the weekend, when I was at author events. And one can hopefully see from the pictures that I’m managing to keep fit!

    I’m tempted to share a picture from early last summer when I had 15 pounds more on me, but I’m not going to! Trust me when I say I look much better now.
