Wow, this community is amazing, in so many ways. It's been a month now and I'm sitting down for the first time to write and assess what happened that morning.
I'm not going to talk about this much but concerning keys, i believe there are many posts on this especially for those who care to check. of course, let me advise anyone who will pay attention to use caution with your keys especially master key. I still don't know for certain how this happened (I wish I did), but I believe it may have to do with a very serious errors that occurred with my device.
A JOURNEY OF RECOVERY AND GRATITUDE: MY HIVE STORY
As I sit down to write this post, I'm filled with a mix of emotions - relief, gratitude, and a hint of embarrassment. Last month, I faced a crisis that left me feeling helpless and disconnected from the Hive community for some days. I had lost access to my Hive account, and with it, my Master, Active, and Posting keys.
That, morning i woke up from bed and wanted to engaged in a transaction on my account, I had earlier saved my keys in my Google drive, that morning i got to my Google drive and saw that the keys at first was there but not opening nor downloading.
After fews days of struggling, it then disappeared from the drive. I don't know what happened and can't remember giving my device to anyone.
I really don't know what was going on, later i said let me check my phone i realized that my valuable informations and datas saved on the phone were wiped as i couldn't find them anymore. Is as good as my phone was empty. Losing my keys was a harsh reminder of the importance of security in the crypto space.
The feeling of losing something so precious was devastating. I had invested countless hours, effort, and emotions into building my presence on Hive through the help of my coach @ovey10. The thought of starting from scratch was daunting, to say the least. But as I navigated the recovery process, I was reminded of the true power of the Hive community.
My coach, teacher @vey10,and a few close friends from the community like @ntul001 rallied around me, offering support, guidance, and encouragement immediately i communicated them on the happenings. Their selflessness and kindness helped me stay focused and motivated, even when the situation seemed bleak. Through their efforts, especially @ovey10 I was able to recover my account and regain access to my keys even though just one of the keys was recovered.
This experience taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of security in the crypto space. I learned the hard way that keeping your keys safe and secure is crucial. It's easy to get complacent, especially when you're actively engaged with the community. But the consequences of losing your keys can be severe.
As I reflect on this experience, I'm reminded of the significance of the Hive blockchain in my life. This platform has given me a voice, connected me with like-minded individuals, and provided opportunities for growth. The Hive community's response to my crisis reinforced the value of this ecosystem.
I'm grateful to @vey10 for the support and kindness I received during this challenging time. I'm also grateful for the lessons learned and the opportunity to share my story with the community. If you're reading this, take heed: double-check your key storage, use secure methods, and never share your keys with anyone.
To my coach, friends, and the entire Hive community, I extend my sincerest gratitude. Your support during a difficult time meant the world to me. I'm honored to be part of this community, and I look forward to continuing our journey together.
Thank you, Hive!
