River Hellondale on the Battlefield

I was looking for new strategies in Splinterlands and I found the River Hellondale card in the water deck. At first I didn't think it was a very powerful card because its mana cost is high and its attack is low, but it has 2 abilities that are very useful in battles and now I'm loving using it and it's almost indispensable to me.

This is the general overview of the River Hellondale card, it's a monster from the water deck with a mana cost of 7, its attack is magic type and it has a total of 3 abilities which are Resurrect, Inspire and Dispel.

    • The Resurrect ability makes River Hellondale bring back to battle an allied monster that was defeated, this ability can only be used once per battle and the monster will return with only 1 life.

    • The Inspire ability will make all your melee monsters gain +1 attack while River Hellondale is in battle.

    • The ability Dispel will make River Hellondale clear all positive statuses from the monster he attacks.

They are all great abilities, but the one that catches my attention the most is the ability Inspire and Resurrect because they fit very well into my strategy since I use a lot of melee monsters and bringing back one of my monsters is very useful, even if it only comes back with 1 life.

This battle is a great example of my strategy, in it I use several melee monsters so that they benefit from River Hellondale's ability Inspire and I also use the monster Wave Brood which will be the main target of the enemy monsters since it has the ability Taunt.

The reason I use Wave Brood is because it has a lot of life, so it will be a great defense and while my opponent's monsters attack it, my melee monsters will be safe and causing a lot of damage to my opponent's monsters, so I can make the most of the ability Inspire and I will also keep River Hellondale safe. After the Wave Brood is defeated, it will still have a second chance with the ability Resurrect and even if it comes back with only 1 life, it will still have 1 shield that is granted by the summoner Kelya Frendul and since my opponent does not have monsters with magic attacks, the Wave Brood will be able to survive 2 more attacks.

It is a simple but very useful strategy and I love using it, another good choice would be to replace the Supply Runner with the Angelic Mandarin to give the Wave Brood a chance to survive longer, but in this battle I prefer to choose the Supply Runner so that my monsters have more speed.
