John Quade, best known for his role as Cholla in the Clint Eastwood comedy "Every Which Way But Loose," was born John William Saunders on April 1, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas. Early Life and Career

Quade's first movie role came in 1972, but his breakthrough role came with his portrayal of Cholla, the bumbling leader of the inept biker gang the Black Widows, in the Clint Eastwood comedy films "Every Which Way But Loose" (1978) and "Any Which Way You Can" (1980). This role catapulted Quade into stardom and solidified his reputation as a formidable character actor.
Quade was married to his wife Gwen for thirty-eight years. He became a devout Christian activist later in life and was an outspoken opponent of the American government and its New world Order.
