When I read posts about how some great people in the world rise from zero to what they never thought they could become in life, it inspires me a lot.
Apart from the inspiration from those stories, there is something I also learned.
We can not decide on the family that will bring us into the world but we can decide the kind of family that comes from us, some of the great people in the world came from a poor family and rose to stardom on their own, the likes of Christiano Ronaldo, he did not let his poor background decide his destiny, he work hard to get to the position he is today.
There are certain things we need to avoid and also there are Virtues we need to possess if we want to become great in Life.
Hard work: Most of the people in the world who became successful in life were due to their hard work and dedication towards their goals and passion, it is either mastering their skills or building their own empire by working for others before they were able to finally become a boss, as long as you are willing to give whatever you are into your best, your chance at being successful is high.
Peer Pressure: This is something we must learn to avoid, some people have left the path of success because of peer pressure, they used their resources to purchase liabilities to impress the world rather than use it to build something that will earn them more money. many people care more about what others think about them than their future and this lead to many people misusing the resources that could have made them a great person in life.
Friendships: Friends can either make or mar us so even though we need friends in our journey of life, we must learn to choose the right friends that will help and inspire our goals, walking with friends with the same mindset will boost our morale and also help in achieving our dreams while keeping bad friends will hinder us from being successful.
Humility: This is one of the most important virtues a man should possess no matter the position you find yourself in life, Some people their character the moment their life changes a bit, they feel they are on top of the world and end up blocking bigger blessings coming from them, no matter how big you are, learn to respect those above you and also those below you, you have seen the position of those above you but for those below you, you don't know what they will become in future and it might surpass you and the idols you look upon.
Have a Dream: A man without a dream is a living corpse, do not be like that man who has no ambition, no goals, nothing drives him nor is he interested in achieving anything, be a dreamer, a dreamer that wants to achieve great things, you may not get exactly what you want but you will get something good and if luck shines on you through your hard work, you may even surpass your dream.
