My First Tournament in Soulkeep

A few days ago I had discovered the game Soulkeep, but due to lack of time I completely forgot about the existence of the game until today and decided to try it again, but this time I will play in Tournament mode because after some research I discovered that it is the only way to earn rewards in the game.

Soulkeep was initially developed by Splinterlands but later came to be developed and managed by the company Double Cocoout, it still has the credibility of Splinterlands since Splinterlands tokens are used and the interface is also executed in Splinterlands, but I am only talking about credibility, as for development and profitability, that is a different story. But I am not saying that the game is bad or that it is not profitable, in fact I played it for a very short time so my knowledge about the profits within it is practically nil and about the game so far I found it very fun, so at the very least I will have fun.

The last time I played Soulkeep I was completing the Gateways but I was interrupted because I had to pick up my kids from college so I could only complete up to Gateway level 2.

Today my focus will not be on the Gateways but on the tournament mode since this is where you will find the "gold", which are the SPS rewards in the game but for that I need to get a good position on the leaderboard because not all players will be rewarded.

To participate in the tournaments you will need to own or rent NFTs, the NFTs are the Towers, Spells and Heroes. After owning the NFTs you just need to enter the tournament, select which ones you want to use and set up your strategy for the Waves.

Your first participation in the tournament will be free but after that, each participation will cost a certain amount of tickets and the tickets can be purchased for DEC.

After selecting your NFTs, you just need to face the Waves and if your life reaches 0 you will be defeated and the score you achieved until the moment of your defeat will be counted in the leaderboard.

In the first Phase I managed to pass all the Waves with a perfect result without losing any life but in the bonus phase things started to get difficult and the first Waves were calm but from the third Wave onwards I started to lose life Wave after Wave.

In the end, this was the result I got and I don't know if it will be good enough for me to get any rewards in the game, but in the leaderboard, my position is currently 41st, I may still fall a few positions because there are 5 hours left until the tournament ends, but I feel that for my first experience I had a good result since I managed to reach the last Wave of the tournament, but I have to admit that I already had experience with this style of play so it wasn't too difficult to get used to it and I also researched some strategies before starting.

I am currently in league 1 and Soulkeep has 10 leagues, to advance to the next league you need Souls. Souls are earned by defeating monsters in the Tournament and also in the Gateways, you can also buy Soul Boxes in the Gameshop and when you open them you will earn Souls.

Another important detail is that from league 2 onwards you need to delegate SPS to Soulkeep in order to play in the Tournament and also make the Gateways.

This is the table showing how much SPS you need to delegate per league.

In a few hours I will have the results of the tournament and see how much my reward in SPS will be, that is if I maintain a good position until then, but the only certainty I have is that the game is fun.
