Hi guys. I hope that you all are fine. I am doing well. I haven't been able to participate in the previous weekend topics because of some personal work. This week the topics are very interesting just like the usual.
I would like to talk about how and why I inspire others. Yes, I have tried to inspire people and there are multiple reasons behind it. I am a student. I belong to a middle class family. I have opted for the most difficult exam in my country which is CSS, Central Superior Services. This exam has taught me a lot of things. I have failed my first attempt by the barest of margins which is just one subject out of 12 that too just short of 17 marks.
When my result came back in 2023 September, I was shattered. I could not figure out what went wrong. I have given a lot of focus, dedication and determination and time to this exam. People thought that I was down and out. Even my family thought that I am not ready for my next attempt. I was sidelined in my social circle. However, after just two days, I started working on my weaknesses all over again. Many of my friends who also failed this exam were saying that they would not appear in the exam and advised me the same.
The passing ratio of this exam is just around 2 percent. Out of around 18000 to 20000, only 400 people get allocated in respectable departments as Assistant Commissioner. I went all in. I have got sleep of only 5-6 hours in these days. My exams started from 29th of February and ended on 5th of March, two exams per day and I had to write for 6 hours a day.
Thankfully, all my papers went well this time including the one in which I failed. When I told this to my friends, they were inspired. I kept guiding them to be more focused. I convinced and motivated two of them to appear in the exam. On the last paper they told me that if it weren't for me, they would not have appeared in the exam. Their exam went well too.
Why do I motivate them?
The answer to this question is very simple. We all belong to the same social strata. Passing this exam would bring a lot of perks, privileges and it would fulfill the hopes and dreams of my parents. I know what it feels to be down and out. I just want to be the hand that one expects to pick one up during the times of despair. I know this is something small, but it would make me happy when I and my friends pass the exam when the result comes.
