Microsoft has been investing into the OpenAI since it's inception. They are one of the investors and also have board member in the openAI organization. An due to their interference Microsoft has kept the ChatGPT like project in profit. And each year we see business making use of the OpenAI for their own growth and development.
This year Microsoft has decided to use the OpenAI for the development and they are working towards one of the supercomputer project that would make it eaier for the AI to further get features and services that would be easier to explore and build. This project is called as the Stargate project.

What is the Stargate Project?
OpenAI and Microsoft are working on a project called "Stargate". This project is supposed to work on a supercomputer that would be completed by the end of the 2028. And it is supposed to serve the variety of the super computing function for the company and innovative services. This would also be later resold to 3rd party for the licensing and development. This in short is stargate project which we can explain in short.
This project would be fed with the data from the Microsoft's data banks and also it would be building variety of the features which is supposed to extend the AI services that we already have. This would be ambitious project and it is going to solve a lot of problems out there specific for the data and AI community.

100$ Billion Project Scheduled for 2028
Projects are fun if they have deadline to meet otherwise they just make you old without reaching any success. And this means there is going to be final product out in the market when the 2028 arrives. Some projects have the chances of being cleared while the supercomputer is built. It would be possible that future of the Azure and the Microsoft tech would be on such mega AI based supercomputer.
It may appear pricey at this point however the case with AI based products is that it would be competing on the platforms that are in the market. Like say there are some of the projcts like claude, huggingchat and the openlama that are out there. So it's reasonable for the project to be working with the current high budget and hopefully sam altman and team is likley to deliver.
Super Computers in Commercial Realm and Regulation?
As the AI is going to be used to develop the super computer and also there would be even further AI usage on that. So it would be serious implications of the super computers that are about to be developed in the market. So govt and international scale has to be there for the control. Because in the wrong hands the simulations and the usage would invie the further trouble.
OpenAI has been progressing real fast, though there is an ethics committee and also the type of the developers are out there. Things are going on very fast lately. AI need some form of regulation and there needs to be regulation on how the projects are being created and also used in the market. This would happen with regulation on the global scale too. If such AI becomes too high to handle then it'd likely to be takenover by the secret services too. Let's hold our imaginary horses till then.
