La Casa de Moneda Finest…..

    Afternoon everyone….

Today will be a showing of one of the pieces that was part of a group order, that I took possession of while at the silvergoldstackers meet up in Las Vegas.

Yes, I had quite a bunch of silver awaiting my arrival…..

I have been a big fan of this round since its inception. The design has changed over the years as well as its name. It was originally called the Onza, which is now called the Libertad. Both designs are great in my opinion.

Well I bought two 2023 one ounce silver Libertads. I believe the mintage on this year was just 400,000, but I’m not 100% positive. They’ve been producing less and less recently.

Here’s some info on the Libertad:
The Libertad coins are silverand gold bullion coins originating from Mexico and minted by the La Casa de Moneda de México(Mexican Mint). The Mexican Mint was established in 1535 and is the oldest mint in the Americas. The modern coins contain 99.9% silver or gold (.999 fineness) and are available in various sizes. Both metal coins have undergone a design change. In 1989, 3,500 1⁄4 ounce Libertad platinum coins were produced. Libertads are devoid of face value, yet are legal tender, still accepted as currency and guaranteed by Banco de México based on the market value of its gold or silver content.
