Plot
The anime is set a few centuries ago, in a time when the world was plagued by vampires, golems, werewolves and other supernatural creatures. Tsugaru Shinuchi is one of the few demon hunters in the world, who is curiously half human and half demon. He spends his time fighting all kinds of supernatural creatures. However, one night he meets a very peculiar maid who carries a cage that is covered with a white blanket, hiding what is inside. A voice is heard coming out of said cage, to which he is confused thinking it is that of the maid, who seeks to assassinate him.
After a quick encounter, the voice commands the maid to stop, removes what covers the cage and reveals a head of a woman who is alive and talking. That head turns out to be Aya Rindo, an immortal woman who, through various circumstances, lost her body after being beheaded. She asks him to help him find the person responsible, who he suggests is also related to her origin, being a person who has certain abilities to create mutations of creatures of all kinds. Together, they decide to travel the world in search of their target while solving mysterious cases related to supernatural creatures.
