I am aware of how powerful Rebellion cards are, but when it comes to using arrows in combat, this is also one of my favorite cards.
Fernheart is one of the best summoners to use in this situation because it allows range attackers to attack in the first position of the battle. Without the ability to close range, range attackers would not be able to attack in the first position, so this card from the Chaos Legion will be one of your favorites under the Riftwatcher edition.
Since I enjoy playing this card, I was also excited to learn about its history. Here is a description of how it came to be.
A roving band of bards and storytellers surrounded Kelvhan Fernheart as he grew up amid the stars. His mother had the ability to accurately foretell the future and counsel others on the best course of action. After their trips, which were usually greatly anticipated and celebrated, the locals would treat them to sumptuous feasts and a variety of presents, and they would attentively watch their entertainment in amazement.
When Kelvhan first strayed from his tribe and became lost in the Dartbron Wood forest, he was just six years old. Days passed while he walked, captivated by the forest's mysteries and its inhabitants. Three days later, his parents discovered him, and to their surprise, he was healthy and undamaged. As he became older, Kelvhan spent more time away from his folks and preferred the peace and quiet of the forest and its animals to the life of a wandering bard.
It appears that Fernheart enjoys the strength of nature. He seemed content with who he is now and has grown into a stronger person.
Take advantage of the Fernheart Kelvhan's power if you encounter this Going to Distance Rule Sets in a brawl or ranking combat; you may be the only unit capable of close-range attacks. Because it can attack in front, you won't be afraid to employ range attack as a tank. One of my favorite combinations for this challenge was Fern Heart and Drybone Barbarian; my opponent sometimes found it difficult to counter because they had fewer cards available. Fernheart is accessible in the currently ranked structure because it is modern.
