So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the first topic for this week which is “VOLUNTEERING AND COMMUNITY WORK”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “THE HATE YOU GET”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their thoughts on taking legal action against people who committed acts of hate against them. It could be for things as simple as defamation of character or even slander, it would get to a point where one would have to do something.
We got to see the different measures people were willing to take against such acts. There are those who would simply ignore, while others will choose to take legal action. Either way, everyone would do what works best for their mental health.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w151e3 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us that taking action against hate crimes only depends on the severity of the crime itself. For some cases, it would be best to ignore them because doing otherwise would only make it worse. However, in other cases, ignoring them would be bad because they would get more confident. So, each crime would determine the right action to take..

For this author, he’s of the opinion that so long as the culprit does not break the law or harm him in anyway, then he would simply ignore whatever it is that they do. He won’t give them the pleasure of knowing that they managed to get under his skin. So, whatever they do, he’ll simply brush it off.

For this author, he has no issues going all out against people who commit acts of hate against him. He would rather go after them and deal them a big blow, one that would discourage further acts in future. As long as his reputation is on the line, he would stop at nothing to set things right.
