[So for no apparent reason. I started with the No Shirt November challenge (There is no such challenge in real life). I simply made it up and challenged myself. Don't ask me why, My brain does all this nonsense. And I have no idea why. Also, I am currently working from home. So that way it's easy for me not to be any shirt. All this is not easy when you have family around. Here's a glimpse of the Days.]
NO SHIRT NOVEMBER - DAY 1
“You not going?” She asked me to inquire about the status of the groceries.
“Nope,” I replied.
“And what are you going to eat for dinner, there is no Atta and you had rice for lunch.” She informed me about the condition.
“You make something naa” I asked her to improvise on the situation.
“What do you want me to do? You want Khichdi?” she resorted to Khichidi
“Umm. No.”
“Ok, that was the last option. Go and get the groceries, If you want dinner.” She asked again.
“Atta Maggi???” I suggested something that was not on the menu, discussion or healthy.
“Hooh Atta Maggi” She replied taunting me. “You were the one who decided to get rid of all the instant and unhealthy food. Atta Maggi... Hmmhp.” she replied. Her tone mocked me which is understandable. After all, Maggi was the comfort food I forced her to dump.
“OK, what now?” I asked.
“Tch.. Put on a shirt and go to the market.” She informed me of the action needed from my side.
“I am not going to the market. Will order something.” I replied.
“Arey!! What is happening? You chup chap go to the market and get the groceries. We are not ordering any food.” She was getting angrier.
“No... No… I mean ordering in the groceries from the App.” I replied.
“But you were the one who did the price comparison two weeks back and told me that it is better to get the groceries from the store directly. The App is charging delivery fees, convenience fees, phalana dimkhana fees. And the quality check is not trustworthy.” She seems to be hell-bent on sending me to the market.
“Let's order ok!! That way the groceries can be delivered to my doorstep and I don't have to move.”
“Uff!! OK give me your phone. Will place the order.” She surrendered to my stubbornness.
After spending 15mins on the app she analysed the Cart and said, “This is coming to 883. It's too high.”
“That’s Ok. I have a coupon. Will get some cashback.” I took the phone back and placed the order.
I was just relaxing on the chair trying to figure out what to write when I saw her with trash bags. She parked them next to the shoe rack.
“Throw them out. Please.” She asked me.
“Haan, Will do at night,” I replied.
“It's 8 PM, Already night. Why are you so lazy today?” My lady was annoyed.
“I am going to throw that out, You don’t worry. Actually, I..”
The doorbell rang. It interrupted me.
“There you go.” I handed the groceries to her.
As I was going back to my chair. I heard her.
“You forgetting something?” She was pointing at the trash bags.
“Haan, I will do it. Before going to bed.”
“Haih. You please get that out. Or else it will stink the shoe rack.” She replied.
“I am on a challenge baba!!” I explain.
“What challenge?”
“No Shirt challenge” I proudly replied.
“Huh!!”
